JOY CON - GEEK CONVENTION 4 CHARITY

On Saturday May 27th 2017, Dryden ON's very first ever "Geek" convention, JOY CON, is set to take place! We're going to celebrate our love of  video games, toys, cards, pop culture, etc. And we'll be dressing up as our favorite pop culture icons too! All Cosplayers welcome! This event will bring enthusiasts of these genres from Dryden Ontario and surrounding areas together for a full day of planned events, tournaments, play, vendor tables, silent auctions, and much more!

We have determined that we would like to donate the proceeds of this day to two local charities. We will champion to raise funds for the Dryden Dream Believers, a charity who donates funding to the Dryden Regional Health Centre for various upgrades, and equipment, and also to support the Children’s Miracle Network. The Children's Miracle Network is a North American non-profit organization that raises funds for children's hospitals, medical research, and community awareness of children's health issues. 

Our goal is to raise as much as possible, but our first year landmark is $10,000.

We will venture to achieve this goal chiefly at the event by way of admittance, silent auctions, video game tournament entry fees, prize draws, and food and beverage sales.  

It is our extreme pleasure to share with you our proposed fundraising effort, and we hope that with the proper support, hard work, a pinch of luck, and some TLC, we may find that our fundraising goal is met, or even surpassed!

 With our humble goals in mind we reach out to you today to support us as we endeavour to create an incredibly memorable event. One that we hope to repeat, for charity, annually!

Any donation, recieved via this GoFundMe page will be directly donated to one of our two worthy recipeints. Your donation could even go so far as to save the life of a child!
