Joyce Mvula Netball Camps In Malawi
Malawi, the warm heart of Africa and more recently the home of a thriving generation of booming netball talent as evidenced by the success of its well decorated Netball team, the Queens.
In the past decade or so, we have witnessed the soaring of Malawian netball stars abroad such as Mary Waya, Mwawi Kumwenda and last but not least Joyce Mvula. Joyce Mvula in particular has had a meteoric rise from her locally based club here in Malawi to shining in the Vitality Netball Super league in the England. However, if Joyce wasn’t given the opportunity to learn, express her talent and being invested in, who knows if this light would have shined to many who have witnessed and been inspired by her talent and passion. Joyce was and is still a passionate Malawian who stands tall today as an emblem of hope to many young girls across Malawi. There are many more like Joyce who have a story waiting to be told and talent waiting to unravel. This, therefore is the heartbeat of the Joyce Mvula netball camp.
The Joyce Mvula Netball Camp is a platform for young girls with a dream, passion and net balling talent to shine. This initiative will host girls from all over Malawi in three events namely in Mzuzu, Blantyre and the Capital city of Lilongwe. We are looking to gather resources such as:
- Netballs
- Bibs
- Cones
- Netball post
- Hurdles
- Pumps
- Sanitisers
- Masks
- Handwashing soaps
- Food and transport
- Accommodation
- Logistics
And many more other necessities.
We plan to host these camp in the month of August,2021. So, we would like to invite you to partner with us by committing to help us raise the amount of £5,000 which will go towards putting this initiative together. We dare to dream so that the next Joyce Mvula is unearthed. Your help will go a long way towards us achieving this and making a young malawian girl's dream come true.
