Joyce Bakeshop Shutdown Staff Support
Donation protected
Thank you for the overwhelming support you have shown us as we temporarily close shop. Now, more than ever, we lean on our community as we continue to power through these uncertain times. We appreciate your kind words of support and understanding as we navigate our business as the climate changes.
Our original plan was to continue business for as long as we could in order to maintain some semblance of normalcy for our customers, as well as for our staff, who do not have the option to work from home.
We considered closing up two weeks ago, but many of our staff asked to continue working because they needed to, and they wanted to.
But now faced with the pressing need to keep our staff safe in this growing epidemic, we decided to shut our doors for the time being, despite Audrina’s conviction that her immune system can withstand the toughest virus. We don't want to give her a reason to test her convictions so we have had to let her go, along with the rest of our bakeshop family, until our shop reopens. We have started this page for them to get through what we hope will be the short period that we are closed. We understand how difficult times are and appreciate any donation towards our Bakeshop family.
After 14 years of service to this neighborhood, believe us when we say that it will be difficult to not bake up the morning croissants and provide you with your first dose of caffeine. We’ve kept up with your daily lives as you’ve kept up with ours. We’ve shared stories about our families, our jobs, the local gossip, and adventures big and small. A simple thank you never seems enough to encompass how we feel about this world you’ve help us built around Joyce Bakeshop.
100% of the donations raised here will go directly to the hardworking staff at Joyce Bakeshop. We have always felt that they are like family, and we hope that Audrina, Samantha, Selina, Jessica, Kyle, Katy, Chiara, Anais, Sarina, Luis, Zachary, Sami, and Leroy have made you feel the same way.
Like family.
Much love and many thanks,
Joyce and Mo
