Hi, My name is Debi Waldin and I am setting up this GoFundMe to help two people who are very dear to my heart. My Uncle Woody and Aunt Joyce.

Woody and Joyce Pierce have lived in Laurinburg, NC. for many years. Woody has done Pastoral work, but they are most known and recognized for the print shop that they owned: Woody’s Print Shop. They served the people in Laurinburg and surrounding areas for many years until they retired. Recently, they have had some medical issues that have really been life changing.  Joyce had to have open heart surgery. She was in the hospital a number of days, released and within a few days  had a stroke. She went to rehab and at the time was still able to walk with slight paralysis.  She suffered a second stroke and was both hospitalized and then spent about three weeks in rehab. In addition  she was in rehab as “outpatient”, but unfortunately she has lost the use of her left side completely. She has no motor skills on the left side of her body, and is wheelchair bound. Due to the paralysis, being able to go for doctor appointments and other necessities are very difficult. EMS has had to be called a number of times, as Joyce has fallen. Woody is unable to lift her back into the wheelchair. A lot of the falls happen when Woody is trying to lift Joyce into their car. I’m hoping to be able to raise money to help facilitate in them being able to purchase a van with a lift or a ramp. There is no family in the local area that can help them as far as physical activity, so I know this would be a big help for Woody! I want to thank you in advance for anything that you can give. Nothing is too small! I know that they have helped many people over the course of their lifetime, though never wanting recognition.
