Joyce and Derrick's tragic motorcycle accident

From John and Amy:  Our mom and step dad were in a terrible motorcycle accident August 23rd. They hit some gravel and it threw them off the road, over a cliff, and into a ravine. They had to be airlifted out. They are now in ICU in WV, far from their home. They've both had multiple surgeries and have plates, screws and rods in their fragile little bodies. Mom has been on a ventilator and hope to have it removed Thursday. It looks like they will be in WV awhile and once they are well enough to travel, they will return to Michigan. There they will be hospitalized more and eventually have extensive physical therapy. It will be a very long road to recovery for them both. All the love, support, and prayers you can give is needed and appreciated. The excruciating physical pain, the anxiety and the unbearable, overwhelming sadness is more than just about anyone could bare.  With faith and trust in God, we will see that they will recover.
