Today I found a note in her backpack stating - (I'm not happy, I'm sad, my friends are mean, and every time I talk, they ask me to stop and tell me I'm annoying). I broke down in tears. I realized that this world needs more kindness and that my daughter is highly affected by this absence. I always knew helping and giving to others made me feel good. That kindness still exists. You don't know what people are going through or struggling with. Don't let appearances fool you. Helping children see the world as a good place will help us control the pandemic of anxiety and depression surging among our children. I was shocked to read that 5.4 million kids in America suffer from anxiety, and that's only by 2020, and 2.4 million children will suffer from depression. I decided to share my vision and need your help to achieve my goal. This is simply a vision of a mother who wants to trust that the world is safe for her daughters and every other child. Society starts with children. The way they are raised and brought up grows with them and reflects on the society we live in today. Today's adults are yesterday's kids, and what they were exposed to at young age is what they are demonstrating today. We need to show kids kindness, so they believe it exists so that they can give it back to others. I want to put a smile on as many kids' faces as possible. The target group of this project is kids in shelters, foster homes, and orphanages. Kids with no one to make them feel special, that they matter, that they are loved unconditionally. Let's be that person who can show them that. Imagine if I had 1000 people donate 1$, that's $1,000 that can bring joy to kids' hearts. Imagine if I had 1000 people donate 10$. That's $10,000. Now imagine if I had 1000 people donate $100 WOW. Am I dreamy? Am I unrealistic? Maybe, maybe not. I may not get as much help as I wish for this project, but I am sure about the JOY and happiness this will bring to a few children's life. I aim to have as much support as possible by 12/15/2022 to give me enough time to get the gifts, wrap them, and prep for the children before Christmas. Let’s help those kids feel the love and joy they rarely have. Help me show them that this world is worth living and that kindness still exists.
