JOY OF AFRICA PROJECT - Free Music school in Ukunda, Kenya
Donation protected

Hello, I'm Sibylle and I would like to give socially disadvantaged children in Ukunda, Kenya the opportunity to learn to play an instrument. I would like to inspire the children for music, give them a ray of hope in their everyday lives and possibly also give them opportunities for the future.
I myself have been to Kenya a lot of times and have come to love this country and its people. But what always touches me deeply is to see and feel the great need but also the warmth of these people.
I have repeatedly collected donations to combat poverty and distributed food to the poorest people. But now I also want to give the children fun, joy and a perspective.
So I immediately came up with the idea of helping with music, because music is omnipresent in Africa and music is a language that everyone understands.
As some of my friends there are musicians, the idea of a music school was born. Learning an instrument has so many positive aspects that these local artists are willing to give free lessons in a wide variety of instruments. I asked the relevant authorities to help us with a suitable building, which we were promised. But of course it also has to be furnished and we need lots of instruments. I need your help for this: please - every euro helps me and the children to realize this wonderful idea.
