Our friend and classmate, JR Dewhirst needs our help.
JR is suffering from glaucoma and has been for about 15 years now. Three years ago, he lost the sight in his right eye and up until January of this year, had 2020 vision in his left eye. He recently had surgery to alleviate pressure in that eye, which was unsuccessful.
JR is now seeing a new eye doctor at the Flaum Eye Institute at Strong and they are trying desperately to save what sight JR has left.
If you did not know, JR also suffers from ongoing heart problems and survived two heart attacks and endured double bypass surgery.
Due to ongoing doctor appointments and his severe vision loss, JR cannot work. Mounting doctor and hospital bills are causing additional stress and monetary hardship.
