Joy for Janine

Hi, my name is Jodi and I’m raising funds for my beautiful friends Janine and Andy.

Janine & Andy made a move from Werribee to Camperdown a little over 7 years ago.. Life was good, they had even started a little business “JUST RELISHING “ an assortment of products made with love and enjoyed by many. But in March 2024 life as they knew it came to a grinding halt!

Janine was diagnosed with Leukaemia

Her treatment was long and tough, not just for her but her whole family. She stayed positive, Andy at her side, and she finally got stable enough for a bone marrow transplant in October 2024.

I was lucky enough to spend some time with her during this process, some days I even got her to laugh with my hat antics.

However I also got to see what a toll this was taking on them all. Whilst they had an amazing roster of friends and family it was heartbreaking that Andy had to return to work in order to make ends meet.

This part of Janine’s journey was far from over, she was weak and in constant pain, but she soldiered on, working hard in rehab as she just wanted to be home!

Whilst she was still struggling, she was told in February 2025 she was in remission.

With a lot of hardwood Janine finally made it home in April and was so happy to be back after a gruelling year long battle.

Unfortunately that was very short lived as at her 3 month checkup their world was once again shattered. The Leukaemia was back and within weeks it was apparent that this time the doctors had nothing left to help this time.

Janine has now been told she has weeks to months to live!

This is just heartbreaking news and I know they are loved by many, so I would like to raise funds for them to be able to spend every second of every day they have left together.

I also am aware that while she is well, Janine wants, A wake while she is awake.

So she can celebrate her life with all her beloved family and friends before she has some quality time with her loving husband and boys.
