JOY BUGDEN has CANCER and needs your help!
Donation protected
Many of you PEC peeps know my aunt, Joy Bugden and my cousin Jessie Smith. You might remember Joy as a God-loving, bus driving, Sunday School picker upper or a Youth group leader. Joy was diagnosed a couple of months ago with stage III throat cancer and is currently in Kingston General Hospital. For the past 5 weeks, kind family and friends have been driving Joy to Kingston EVERY DAY for radiation treatments and chemotherapy every Thursday. The chemo symptoms got so rough that she hadn't eaten in over a week and was hospitalized to have a feeding tube inserted into her stomach. Her health has been so poor that they have not yet been able to safely do the procedure due to low white blood cell count and other blood abnormalities. Jessie is Joy's number one champion, and this situation has gotten to the point that Jessie is applying for Compassionate Leave to be able to better support her mom. Gas and groceries are expensive, and Jess has a family to help support and Compassionate Leave only pays about 55% of her normal income. I'm hoping that, as a community, we can lift the financial burden for Joy and Jessie. I thank you SOOO much for every dollar you can spare and PLEASE SHARE this any way you can.
