Hello everyone,

Those of us lucky enough to know Joy understand just how bright of a light she is to everyone around her. She is incredibly selfless, and always the first to lend a hand to others.

Joy and her husband, Tyler, are the proud parents of two wonderful boys—Eli (3) and Ali (6 months). During a cardiology appointment a few months after Ali was born, Joy was diagnosed with severe mitral valve regurgitation, which requires surgical repair. Due to the severity of her condition, she was scheduled for urgent heart surgery just three weeks later. This situation has involved numerous appointments and unexpected medical expenses. After surgery, Joy will need several days of recovery in the hospital, followed by a period of limited activity at home.

This has understandably created a whirlwind of emotions and uncertainties for the family, especially since Joy had only recently returned to work from maternity leave. Now, she faces the need for a second leave of absence in just a few months.

My hope is that we can offer the same support to Joy and her family that she would offer to any of us — whether through prayers, emotional support, providing a meal, or helping to ease the financial strain caused by her unexpected medical needs. Any help you can provide would mean so much to them.
