Journie Newton

Journie was in a car accident on Wednesday evening on her way home from clinical. She was trying to avoid a collision with another vehicle and hit a guard rail head on. She was airlifted to Asheville Mission hospital where she was labeled as a “jane doe” patient because she was not able to identify herself. She is currently in the Neuro/trauma department. She is conscious but very confused. CT scans show hemorrhaging on her brain in 4 different areas. We are awaiting more news from the Doctors about when she will be able to go home.

Obviously, her car was totaled and she will need another vehicle in order to drive herself to nursing school, work, and to help take care of her little brother Logan. Unfortunately insurance won’t cover any costs. This fundraiser will be used to help purchase a new car for her.
