#JourneyWithJerzi through her heart transplant
Donation protected
Jerzi Armstrong is a loving, athletic, and feisty 10-year-old little girl who has enjoyed the laughs and smiles that every 10-year-old should experience until roughly three months ago. Then, an exhausted young lady was rushed to the
hospital and diagnosed with Myocarditis. Myocarditis, a rare heart condition, is usually caused by a rare viral infection, and it means you have inflammation in your heart muscle, which weakens your heart muscle and makes it harder for your heart to pump. In Jerzi's rare case, it went from diagnosis to heart surgery in a matter of weeks. Jerzi was immediately placed on a Ventricular assist device and on the national heart transplant recipient list. With God's grace, Jerzi was notified Saturday June 24th that a donor heart was in transit for her and her new journey would soon begin! Jerzi's surgery was long, stressful, but successful. Jerzi and her family have been enjoying tiny steps of success daily and have been so grateful for the prayer chains and support of their baby girl Jerzi!
With the enormous amounts of stress, time away from home and family, and just plain bills that will accumulate from this special gift of life we wanted to attempt to set up this donation site to help. These donations will be utilized for the medical bills, help dinners, and any other needs this special family may need going forward to help bring Jerzi back home! Thank you for time and consideration! God is great, and lets get Jerzi back home and back to being a little girl.
