Journey with a purpose: My GLA Mission

I hope this message finds you well. I am thrilled to share an incredible opportunity I have to volunteer in a Global Health and Medical Outreach program this summer in Costa Rica. As someone deeply inspired by my mother's dedication and compassion as a nurse, this experience will not only be a dream come true but an essential step in my journey toward a career in nursing. From a young age, I have watched my mom care for her patients with empathy and skill, and it has ignited a passion in me to follow in her footsteps. I have a goal of attending nursing school after I graduate highschool. This volunteer program in Costa Rica will allow me to gain firsthand experience in providing healthcare in underserved communities, deepen my understanding of global health challenges, and contribute to meaningful change. The program will involve working alongside local healthcare professionals to deliver primary care, health education, and support to individuals and families in need. This hands-on experience is invaluable to my education and growth, allowing me to apply what I’ve learned in real-world settings and develop skills that will serve me throughout my nursing career. However, I need your support to make this opportunity a reality. The cost of the program, including travel, accommodation, and materials, is significant.
