✈️I'm traveling to Mexico for stem cell therapy at The Stem Cell Institute. This treatment will give me my life back and HALT MS. This treatment has an 85% effective rate and a good portion of patients also have a reversal of their symptoms and disability.
My fight with MS has been a long one.
Six years ago, I was in a Funk dance fitness class dancing one minute and unable to move the right side of my body the next minute I knew something was seriously wrong.
After months of testing, I heard four words that
forever changed my life, " You have Multiple Sclerosis ". How could this happen? I wondered. I am healthy and a fitness Instructor!!!!I found myself giving myself shots every other day in the beginning. I hate needles...lol.
When that did not work, I tried other medications. I ended up on a medication that
was said to be the miracle drug called Ocrevus which costs $77,000 every six months.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is known as the snowflake disease because no two cases
are alike. There are over two million people living with MS.
MS is not contagious
MS is not terminal
MS is not a STD (yes someone asked me that).
MS is a chronic condition of the nervous system where the immune system attacks itself. Symptoms are different for everyone. Here are
some of what I deal with:
Chronic fatigue
Stiffness and spasticity in legs
Insomnia
Sensitive to heat/cold. Beach climate best for
me
Brain fog
Depressed appetite
Dexterity issues with my hand making it hard to
do everyday tasks.
I have made the decision to get stem cell therapy. This is the only treatment that has
been proven to stop MS. This treatment is done
all over the world, except the US.
Because this treatment is not covered by insurance, I am having to pay out of pocket for it. Therefore I set up a GoFundMe. Something I
said I would never do. I am excited about this treatment because it will
give my life back. I have learned how to live as a single person with a disability. I want to go hiking and ride a bike again. I want to dance.
Stem cell treatment and aggressive physical therapy will allow me to do that.
In order to fully heal I'm having to take time off work to do intense physical therapy at SCI-FIT in Sacramento and Clovis. I am also going to my functional Chiropractor Malori Tinsley at Well Balanced Body. I also need to get an adaptable vehicle so that I can continue to drive. Health insurance does not cover these costs and many costs such as co-pays and misc health expenses.
