Support Alex from Surgery to Snowboard Instructor

My name is Alexander, thank you for visiting my page!
Ever since I was a young lad I have been thrilled by the outdoors and extreme sports. Nothing excites me more than an adventure!

For 4 years I have been teaching people to snowboard in an indoor snow centre, and it is my dream to be able to do this in the vast open slopes of the mountains.
In January 2025, I travelled to Andorra to start my season long training to become a BASI level 2 snowboard instructor, a qualification mountain instructors need to work in resort.
Great progress was being made, but then a week before my exam I experienced an unfortunate accident which resulted in my collarbone breaking into 5 shards. Unable to take my exam I was rushed back to the UK for surgery.
Having this happen so close to the exam, after months of training was a crushing blow, I'd felt like I'd worked so hard and I was so ready to smash it, only to have it taken just out of reach. It hurt more than my injury.
I am still determined to get back on my feet and try again! No matter how long recovery takes, I will keeping going and aiming for this goal!
For me, I have found a career that I enjoy in a sport that I love of which I am very lucky. To be able to share my passion for snowboarding with others and seeing them succeed is why I became an instructor, and why I am not giving up on this!
This fundraiser will go towards my course fees and travel expenses to journey back to the mountains and take my level 2 exam.
Thank you for reading my story. Whatever you are able to donate if you can would mean the world to me and my dream of becoming a mountain snowboard instructor!
