Journey to the Grammys: Your Support Means the World to Me!

Hello everyone!

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! I've been featured on an incredible album that has received a nomination for Contemporary Blues Album of the Year! This means I have the opportunity to attend the Grammys to celebrate this nomination (and hopefully a win) alongside my partner and the talented collaborators involved in the project.

This experience is truly a blessing, and it feels like I’ve been waiting my entire life for this moment! However, it’s bittersweet as it comes during one of the toughest financial periods I've faced.

Let me explain: for the past 3.5 months, I’ve been embroiled in a legal dispute with a car dealership after being sold a lemon and a misleading and fraudulent warranty agreement. Since July 2023, I’ve spent over $14,000 of my personal savings on repairs, all for a car that ultimately turned out to be a lemon. While I’m waiting for this legal issue to be resolved with my attorney and the dealership, I’m incurring $1,800 a month in rental car fees on top of my regular car payment for a vehicle that is currently non-drivable and stuck at the dealership. It feels like I’m paying a second mortgage without having a house to show for it.

This situation has created significant financial stress during what should be one of the most exhilarating times in my life and career! The thought of missing out on this opportunity due to the actions of a dishonest car dealership is disheartening.

Given the support you’ve all shown me through following my music, attending my shows, and generally cheering me on, I’ve decided to set up this GoFundMe in hopes of receiving your assistance.

My goal is to raise $4,000. No contribution is too small; every little bit helps and will go toward the expenses for attending the Grammys, including round-trip airfare, ground transportation, a 3-night hotel stay in LA, tickets to the main awards show and after-party, as well as a little bit for food and any other expenses that should arise!
