Journey to Santa Fe Opera

Donation protected
Hello everyone!

Thank you for your interest in the Reichardt House Recital on May 19th (3pm) in River Forest, Illinois!

Though I'm saddened that my time at the Ryan Opera Center of Lyric Opera of Chicago has come to an end, I'm eagerly anticipating the adventures that lie ahead in my career.

Following my tenure at ROC, I'll be returning to Santa Fe Opera as an Apprentice Singer. During my time there, I'll have the incredible opportunity to cover the role of Marschallin, sung by the phenomenal soprano Rachel Willis-Sørensen, and also perform the role of Marianne Leitmetzerin in Der Rosenkavalier. Santa Fe Opera holds a special place in my heart, having played a pivotal role in nurturing my training, and it truly feels like home.

Ted and Emilysue Reichardt have generously offered to host a short recital to gather funding for my journey to Santa Fe. Accompanied by my wonderful friend and pianist, Michael Banworth, we've curated a program that showcases music from my time as a member of the Ryan Opera Center. The program features works by Undine Smith Moore, Gene Scheer, Richard Strauss, Antonín Dvořák, Leoš Janáček, Rogers & Hammerstein, Sammy Fain, and Harold Arlen. These pieces hold immense personal significance to me, and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to share them with all of you. There will be a small reception to follow the recital.

To reserve a spot at the recital, we are kindly requesting a minimum $60 donation per ticket. In the memo paired with the donation please include an email address where information can be shared closer to the event. There is a strict maximum of 50 seats.

Another point to note is that the family owns a cat. However, the cat will not be in the room during the recital. We mention this for the benefit of those with allergies.

Thank you once again for your support and interest in my journey. Your presence at the recital and any contribution you're able to make mean the world to me.

Warm regards,
Kathryn Henry
