Journey to Healing: Need Your Support

Back in April 2024, I couldn’t hear out of my left ear and didn’t think much of it. A trip and cleaning to urgent care resulted in an office visit with the ENT. I had an MRI done and a mass was discovered, attached to my left ear nerve. I was told to see a neurologist. After my doctor’s visit to the neurologist, I learned that the headaches I had been having since being in the Army in 2014, were likely caused by this mass pressing against my skull.
My surgery to remove it was set in October and while it was successful, I found myself back in the hospital a month later due to a staph infection. It has been a challenging journey so far and my medical bills have only added to the stress. Additionally, when the mass was removed, it was attached to my facial nerves and my ear nerve. Since October, I have lost all hearing in my left ear, continue to struggle with balance issues and am facing paralysis of the left side of my face.
I am in physical, speech and occupational therapy, still trying to recover and get my quality of life back from before the surgery. I’m raising money to support funding for my hearing aids and medical bills.
Anything helps! If you’re unable to afford giving monetarily, sharing this page to gain more visibility would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your support!
