Hello, we’re the Burtons, Jesse & Caleigh, and our two pups Ryker & Odin! We’ve been together for 6 years, married for 4, and trying for Baby Burton for the last 3 years.

We’re a dual military couple stationed in San Diego, CA and after countless tests we were diagnosed with infertility at the end of 2020. Jesse then served two back to back deployments in the Pacific, and when he returned home this past fall we reestablished care with our fertility clinic and quickly learned that IVF was our best shot at conceiving a child of our own.

We firmly believe that everything is done in God’s timing, but we’re so thankful to live in a world where modern medicine and assistive reproductive technology (ART) like In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) exists!

Unfortunately, ART & IVF are not covered by most insurance plans, including Tricare & both being active duty we are disqualified from obtaining any other medical insurance that would assist with these costs. On average, one cycle of IVF costs anywhere from $20,000-30,000, but thankfully our clinic has a partnership that greatly reduces this cost; however, it’s still a drastic out-of-pocket medical expense that no one plans for. We all know that babies are expensive, but IVF is an entirely different ballgame.
