Journey of a Gazan Refugee: Funding Reem's Education
My name is Ramón Stern and I am based in the United States and I am a mentor for the organization "We Are Not Numbers." My profile with the organization is here: https://wearenotnumbers.org/member/ramon-j-stern/
This GoFundMe is to fund the education of a remarkable Gazan writer named Reem Sleem who has received a scholarship to get a Master's in Creative Writing in Ireland! Congrats, Reem!

Reem is located currently in al-Mansura Egypt trying to prepare to continue her schooling in Ireland!
We are seeking the following:
$1,400 for Reem's fees to get her bachelor's degree and certification/diploma
$50 -To wire the money to the necessary account in Egypt.
The remainder to move and get her on feet while studying in Ireland!
Her situation is explained below in her own words...
"My name is Reem, and I am from Gaza. I was displaced because of the ongoing war of extermination. I survived death but lost everything—my home, my friends, my dreams, my university, and all that I owned.
My father lost his job, and we can no longer afford the high cost of living abroad in Egypt. As Gazan refugees, we don’t even have the right to work or study freely. Despite these challenges, I managed to continue my studies remotely with determination and succeeded. Now, I have also received a scholarship to study creative writing in Ireland!
However, I still owe for my fees to receive my diploma (for my bachelor's degree) from the university in Gaza.
However, I cannot graduate or receive my bachelor’s degree because I cannot afford the tuition fees, nor the additional costs for my degree and its authentication in Ramallah. This stands in the way of my dream to study abroad, work, and support my family.
The war has already taken so much from me, but I don’t want it to take my future too. I want to complete my education, build a better life, and tell the world my story.
Any support, no matter how small, will help me cover my graduation and degree expenses, the transition costs to move to Ireland and will bring me one step closer to achieving my dream. Thank you for standing with me in this difficult time."
We hope you can support Reem in her educational journey.
i know Reem personally and have worked directly with her and can attest to her amazing work, evidenced in the links to her writing above!
