Today, I am reaching out to you on behalf of my beloved brother, David Petitone.

If you have ever met David, you know he is the kind of person who radiates warmth and positivity—a beautiful soul whose zest for life, passion for helping others, and infectious smile has touched countless lives.

He is everyone’s favorite uncle, a dream brother, a true friend, and my best friend.

David has always been the epitome of health and balance. His daily routine included eating healthy, exercising daily, and living a life rooted in positivity. His priorities have remained constant: helping his family, his friends, his community. And serving as a role model to everyone who has been fortunate to know him.

On January 2, David’s life took an unexpected turn. He woke up that morning feeling extremely tired and with severe jaw pain.

Concerned, we rushed him to the ER. A number of tests later, doctors found two masses—one in the chest and another one in his heart.

Following an agonizing wait and multiple hospital visits, doctors shared a devastating diagnosis:

Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL)

A Cancerous Mass in His Chest

A Growing Mass in His Heart, requiring open-heart surgery

The Road Ahead

David’s cancer treatment plan is intense. To tackle Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL), he already began aggressive chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and steroids to halt the leukemia’s progression and help him gain physical strength. Only when David is stable and sufficiently strong can doctors address the mass in his chest and heart through open-heart surgery.

During this long, difficult treatment, David will be unable to work. Monthly expenses, medical bills, and countless unexpected costs are already accumulating.
