Journey into Grief Work

Heyo,

I’m raising funds to pursue my Death Doula certification. Starting the course is a step forward to dedicating myself to the sacred art of grief work, a practice that nurtures the soul and preserves the well-being of our communities. Death Doulas assist people and their families within their last, major transition- The offerings of a Doula support the living, those in the process of dying, and the affairs that follow someone’s passing. Navigating the emotional, spiritual, and legal aspects of someone’s life can be challenging for those in grief, and I wish to be a support system within the most vulnerable space within the human experience.

Going with Grace offers an extensive end-of-life training program that will allow me to explore the ways that death is experienced within the framework of our culture. Within the 12-week course, I’ll learn the specialized care necessary to honor the expansiveness of each life that is lived, and where to organize myself to ensure comfort and peace for one’s final moments..
