Journalism Elective Funding 2025-26

Hi there, I'm Ms. Skidelsky, I teach the Journalism elective at Palms Middle School.

We have successfully secured funding to print The Palms Press on a monthly basis as a broadsheet newspaper from the Friends of Palms organization and our principal. All of our editions are distributed as well as posted on our school website. We even have an old-fashioned green newspaper box at the entrance of our school for visitors to grab a copy!

The funds raised here will be used in two ways:

1. To celebrate the students in this elective-- they work hard, they deserve a PIZZA PARTY after putting together each edition!

2. To pay for the New York Times print subscription that students get to enjoy every day!
