Josue Dariel Tiburcio Garcia
On December 2nd, 2016 in the Dominican Republic, like a miracle from above Josue Dariel was born. After his mother was diagnosed with Zika virus on her 11th month of pregnancy, Josue entered the world with Microcephaly, Cerebral Paralysis and Body Malformation.
Josue cannot talk, walk and his hands always stay closed preventing him from playing like any other children his age. Daily, Josue goes to physical therapy at a rehabilitation center and he is only able to drink liquids and eat soft food. He stays in bed most of the time due to his limitations and takes medicine to sleep and to avoid seizures.
In his short life, Josue have made some improvements considering his limitations. Josue’s body condition is better and although he only sees at close range, he can recognize his family and smiles with laughter. Josue has shown us to have the strength and desire to live. We want to improve his quality of life. In order to achieve that, the doctors recommend that Josue undergo 2 operations: one to be fed (Gastrostomy) and another one to straighten his spine (C shape). His family is low-income, and the cost of the operations are too high. Please help us improve his living condition and to cover the operations expenses.

I am Ana Julia Fernandez, Josue's grandmother.
2. A clear explanation of how the donations will be spent
Josue needs 2 operations: one to be fed (Gastrostomy) and another one to straighten his spine (C shape).
3. Your withdrawal plan to get the donations from the campaign to the intended recipient(s)
The funds will be transferred to his mother, Lucy Inocencia Garcia, and she will be paying the Hospital(s): Clinica Bonilla & Clinica Corominas (Santo Domingo - DR). The doctors are as follows: Dr.Pedro Pable Perez Pimentel (Orthopedic) at Bonilla Clinic - Dr. Cezarina Polanco (Pediatric Gatroenterology) from Corominas Clinic and Dr. Mariellen Rosario (Neurologist) from Bonilla Clinic.
4. Anything else you feel may help people better understand your fundraiser's purpose
As soon as we are able to collect the funds ,we will be able to setup the surgeries . As a grandmother, there won't be any more satisfaction to see Josue getting a better nutrition and moving more comfortably. Many of us may take these 2 basic things for granted but for Josue it will mean the world.

El 2 de diciembre del 2016 nació en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana Josué Dariel como un milagro del cielo. Después que su madre fuera diagnosticada a las 11 semanas de embarazo con el Zika virus Josué llego al mundo con Microcefalia, Parálisis Cerebral y deformación corporal.
Josué no puede hablar, caminar y sus manitas permanecen cerradas limitándolo a jugar como otros niños de su edad.
Diariamente Él toma terapia física en un centro de rehabilitación y solo ingiere líquidos y alimentos suaves. Josue solo pasa en cama por sus limitaciones y toma medicamentos para dormir y no tener convulsiones.
En su corta vida, Josué ha tenido cambios positivos para ser un niño del que no se esperaba iba a sobrevivir. Su estado corporal ha mejorado mucho Y aunque Josué solo ve a corta distancia puede reconocer a su familia y sonríe a carcajadas. Él nos a demostrado tener muchas fuerzas y ganas de vivir. Nosotros queremos q el lleve una vida digna y mejorar su calidad de vida. Para esto, los doctores recomiendan que Josué sea sometido a 2 operaciones: una para ser alimentado (Gastrostomía) y otra para enderezar su columna vertebral (forma C). Su familia es de bajos recursos y los gastos de las operaciones son demasiado altos. Por favor, ayúdanos a mejor su condición de vida y poder cubrir con los gastos de sus operaciones.
