Joss Barton Moving Fund

Donation protected
The time has come for Joss Barton to leave St. Louis and move on to new opportunities in Chicago. Joss has given St. Louis many legendary performances over the past decade, and it is time for us to give back to her. Relocating can be draining physically, emotionally and financially. These burdens can be heightened for trans people of color. We want to support our sister who has given so much of herself to our community by lessening these burdens. Her move to Chicago from St. Louis will provide her with more emotional support and allow her opportunities to share her art and voice with the world. We are raising funds to help Joss with moving expenses as well as housing cost for things like a security deposit as well as first and last months rent. Whatever you can give helps.

Joss will be hosting a going away party/ performance. Please attend to see a living legend:
Location: Aurora STL
- 7413 S. Broadway St. Louis, MO 63111
Date: May 28th, 2022
Time: Doors 6 Show starts at 7

(In case you don’t know) Joss Barton is a writer, journalist, and spoken word permanence artist exploring and documenting queer and trans* life, love, and liberation. Her work blends femme-fever dreams over the soundtrack of the American nightmare. Combining prose, non-fiction confessional essays, drag artistry, and spoken word stage performances, Joss examines the myriad states of queer trans womanhood from historical, political, and pop cultural identities of death, desires, dreams and disco.
