Josie

There is a sadness that only comes when you're at the brink of losing the purest of loves in your life. Just over a year ago, our Puggle Connors passed, and now his sister from another mother, our beautiful German Shepherd Josie is suffering the scourge of cancer. The mass is located in her right front paw and given her age, surgery is not an option. We have been to see several specialists, and luckily we were able to find an oncology center in Manhattan that has a viable treatment option (https://petcancerinformation.com/). We met with Dr. Impellizeri yesterday (8/11/2025) for a consultation. He believes that Josie's condition is treatable. The service he recommends is cutting-edge electrochemotherapy that will allow a low dosage to address the cancer. Essentially, this is our last hope to give Josie comfort in her remaining time with us, which will hopefully be much longer with this treatment. Unfortunately, the initial treatment is in the range of $10,000 to $11,000 and will severely tax our finances. Additionally, subsequent treatments, potentially 2 or 3 based on how she responds to the first treatment, will be necessary and added expense. We understand that this is a lot to ask for, but anything at all will be dearly appreciated.
