This is hard for us to put out into the world, but due to financial hardship, we are ready to share and ask for help. In the Spring of this year, Mama Josie was diagnosed with Cancer. During the summer, she did her first round of chemo and radiation in Redding, Ca (a 4-hour roundtrip). She had about 20 visits over two months. The cost of gas, food, and lodging significantly put a dent in the family’s pocket. Josie has worked in earlyhood education for over 20 years, and due to cancer, she was let go and now must pay for her own insurance. Starting in the last week of September, she will go for her second round of chemo. We are setting the goal at 5,000 for not only the travel to and from Redding but also for the rent and utility bills.
