Hello everyone! Josiah Barnes (5yrs old) a son of LaTrece Shy Barnes and Jacqua Barnes. Josiah is an actor who loves the big screen! Soon he can be seen in an upcoming movie titled “Safe In The Sunlight!” He was also featured on Inside Edition, Daily Mail, and YouTube for his family birthmark trait/ White Streak. Josiah is currently battling Wilms Tumor! He and his family have a long road ahead of them! While visiting in Ohio from Georgia Josiah was complaining of stomach and chest pain. He was taken to children’s hospital in Akron, Ohio…. Where they found a large mass (tumor the size of a Large Orange/grapefruit) on his right kidney. Treatment as follows: Surgery to remove his right kidney was performed at Atlanta Children’s Hospital 8/10/21. They were unable to remove the full tumor as some attached to his liver and abdomen wall. Josiah will begin chemotherapy to shrink the small ones found in his lungs and on the walls of his stomach. Followed by radiation to remove the tumor spillage on his liver and abdomen wall. We’re asking for your PRAYERS and DONATIONS to help with all expenses. ( medical, travel, living and anything he may need to make him comfortable during this journey….and road to healing…. Time missed from work for his parents, and much more).

*****Back story ***

On July 15 I (LaTrece Barnes) took Josiah to the ER and was told he was suffering with constipation.(which he was I seen the X-ray….and this is generally the first diagnosis)

Josiah loves to swim however, during swimming lessons he didn’t like getting in the water because he was tooo cold….and sleepy…. The last day of swimming lessons we headed to Akron, Ohio to attend my nieces baby shower, but we never made it to the shower we ended up in the hospital for 3 days and learned of his condition. His insurance is pending approval. My job dropped the ball with our insurance. They were taking the money out of my check and wasn’t sending it to the insurance company. They ended up giving me a refund for what was taken out, because even after filling an appeal they were unable to reinstate our health insurance. My husband (Jacqua Barnes) tried to add us to his insurance through his job but was told he couldn’t because “loss of coverage was due to nonpayment of premiums” and that’s not considered a life changing event.
