Josiah's Medical Fund: Easing the Financial Burden

We come to you with heavy hearts and a deep sense of urgency. Our beloved colleague and friend, Josiah, has recently faced a harrowing ordeal. In a tragic collision between his motorcycle and a van, Josiah sustained life-threatening injuries. It's nothing short of a miracle that he's with us today.

The accident left Josiah with severe injuries, including a severed femoral artery, a broken left femur, and facial fractures beneath his left eye. He underwent two emergency surgeries to stop the bleeding, and has already received multiple blood transfusions. Despite his resilience, Josiah's condition remains critical, and he faces yet another major surgery.

Adding to the complexity of the situation, Josiah was in the Philippines at the time of the accident. His devoted mother, Rebekah, had to embark on a grueling journey, traveling across continents to be by her son's side. The financial burden this has placed on the family is staggering.

Despite having international insurance, the coverage for this accident has been denied. As a result, the medical bills are mounting rapidly. To give you a glimpse into the daunting reality they face, the current cost of Josiah's care is approximately 80,000 pesos per day equaling 1,600 a day, with 50% of this amount required upfront each day. And this figure does not even account for the upcoming major surgery.
