I am creating this fundraiser in loving memory of my son, Josiah King, and to organize the 1st annual basketball tournament in his honor. After recently losing Josiah at just 18 years old, I wanted to celebrate him in a way that reflects who he was and what he loved most. Josiah was talented, witty, effortlessly funny, and full of light. He was deeply dedicated to his family and friends, and basketball was a huge part of his life. He played for many teams and leagues, worked hard on his craft, and dreamed of going pro.

This tournament is my way of making Josiah’s soul shine and bringing people together through the sport he loved so much. The funds raised will help me give back to the community while creating a meaningful event in his memory. Support will go toward food, water, and supplies for players and teams, memorial jerseys, backpacks for kids, bouncy houses for families, and photo banners for the event.
