Hi everyone, we are a community of close friends to Josiah and his family. We’ve put together this GoFundMe on their behalf to show our support, and love by helping them raise funds for medical treatment/services as he battles stage 3 cancer.

Josiah’s Story:

Josiah was first diagnosed at the age of 17 with testicular cancer after having an injury while working out. He completed 3 rounds of chemotherapy which ended in December of 2021. He was happy and grateful it was over, and ready to go back to finish his Senior year strong! He graduated High school with great grades, and received recognition as a Sealbearer Life member of CSF (California Scholarship Federation), incredibly managed to submit his college applications while doing chemotherapy- he was motivated, driven, and determined to go to college, and still is! His hard work paid off, he made his decision to attend UC RIVERSIDE, and was accepted into their University Honors program. He was eager and super excited to leave the nest and have a fresh start after enduring such a dark chapter his Senior year.

Just four days before being dropped off at UCR he went to emergency because he felt extremely bloated/constipated. After hours in ER and imaging, he was told he had two large masses in his lower abdominal area. His oncologist confirmed the horrible news of recurrent cancer now in his lymph nodes. He was heartbroken, and devastated - it was difficult to accept. Another setback, and one that can’t be rushed. College now has been deferred a year to allow him to fully recover not just physically, but mentally, emotionally , and spiritually.

He was in remission for only 6 months before it returned. He’s having to endure a more aggressive chemo treatment- this time 4 rounds of different chemo drugs which requires hospitalization of 6 days from his first diagnosis. On top of conventional chemo, as a family they’ve decided they needed to do more and incorporated immunotherapy. Medical insurance only covers so much and all of immunotherapy treatments, reproductive collection and storage are all out of pocket. It’s been a difficult time for them as a family.

They can’t do this alone- and asking with an open heart for any donation you can make. Prayers are especially appreciated- because they work!

Currently, on his off weeks of chemo he has incorporated IV Vitamin C, mistletoe injections, oxygen chamber therapies, acupuncture to prevent/minimize nerve damage, lymphatic massages to help remove toxins of the chemotherapy, supplements required to build back his immunity, added a great Naturopathic Dr on top of his Oncologist Dr and has a dietary specialist to get a better understanding of his metabolic panel, along with lab tests for monitoring and comprehension testing to create a more personalized treatment. Once conventional chemotherapy is over in December 2022 it’s not game over, post immunotherapy will continue for at least 6 months.

All donations will go towards his immunotherapy treatments/services, necessities needed, and anything raised over will go towards his college tuition.

Let’s fight together and stand in agreement with his family that Josiah’s not fighting this alone & will WIN this fight against cancer!!
