Joshua's Journey to Recovery and a New Home

Yes hi my name is Joshua Hickman and I am a recovering addict. I wasted many years of my life because I was addicted to methamphetamine. I lost my home and most of my family won't have anything to do with me. I finally decided to take it seriously this time after feeling like God came into my life. I can't explain it but I've been working out, and watching my diet. I went into a in patient program called anabranch recovery in terre haute Indiana. The whole time I was there I wanted to leave. I started reading my bible and I read the whole new testament. After that I started going to the gym facility inside anabranch recovery. I started a diet plan, eating smaller portions of food. I started to feel better and started enjoying the groups at anabranch recovery. I started painting and doing small arts and crafts. I felt like God was pushing me like he wasn't going to give me the option to fail this time. So I started participating in groups and going to church services. I graduated my first program a few days ago at anabranch recovery and even got a nice letter from the facility regarding my progress. I graduated on 1-11-26. I decided to go to another facility called true healing in Jeffersonville Indiana, and that's currently where I'm at now. I told myself I want to get a good year of service in through different in patient programs, and NA groups. After the year is up I need to try and find a small apartment or studio for myself. I'm currently allowed to look for a job in this new in patient program but because of group schedules it's hard for me to find a part time job.y therapist said to not worry about the job part yet and just focus on my recovery. So that's what I'm doing I'm just hoping maybe someone will bless me with enough money for me to maybe start a place for myself I can call home. I appreciate any help I can get and I was gonna say wish me luck but no matter what I'm taking it day by day and I know God has me no matter what so I'm not going to worry about being homeless or being at a homeless shelter. Thanks world and anyone who might read this and know if you are struggling too read your Bible nothing is impossible with God on your side. Also any donations given will help me in my treatment process as well currently my insurance is paying for my program I'm at now, but I do not know how much longer they will continue to pay for my treatment. My goal is to get a whole year of service in and through in patient programs. I have so far completed one at anabranch recovery and now I'm in my second program through true Healing in Jeffersonville Indiana. After this I do not know what I can get with my insurance covering the cost. Most treatment places require $100 a week so when my insurance runs out I will have to pay out of pocket for my treatment. Also I want to get a job but the place I'm at now has instructed me to just focus on my recovery and the job part will come later. That's easier said then done when after I graduated here the next place will probably want a $100 a week and I don't have $1 to my name. So any donations will help with my housing during my treatment, and clothes and hygiene, I appreciate you all and if you can't make a donation just put a thumbs up or a like that your in support of my dream and my goal. I'm in this to win it I love you all may God be with you and keep you. Also my cash goal is $5000 that will cover rent in housing for a year of treatment, and cover my hygiene and clothing needs for the year, thanks again for reading my story.
