On Christmas Eve, 2009, Joshua was severely injured in a car accident when a car traveling in the opposite direction crossed the center line and struck Joshua's car head-on. As you can imagine, his injuries were extensive and he required many, many initial surgeries and rehabilitation in the years since the accident.
In January of this year, Joshua developed a severe infection in the heel bone on his right foot. He began treatment at Good Samaritan Hospital and then transferred his care to OrthoIndy in Indianapolis. The specialist began 24 hour intravenous antibiotics through a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) in an effort to treat the infection. Unfortunately, these efforts were not successful and on May 7th, 2019, Joshua went in for surgery and had his right foot amputated.
Joshua has a long road of recovery ahead of him and will be out of work. His medical bills have added up significantly and now he will have to add in the cost of a prosthetic. We are trying to raise funds to offset the cost of his prosthetic as well as help cover his already incurred medical expenses. If you can spare a few dollars, Joshua and his family (wife - Ashley; daughters - Trinity, Madalyn, and Kyleigh), would be very grateful for any help they can receive during this difficult time. From their family and ours, thank you in advance!
