I am doing this for my brother Joshua. He was diagnosed with a TBI from service that turned caused a Cavernoma Malformation. This mass is causing seizures, headaches and a whole world of trouble. The mass tripled in size since he found out about it. Its now 2.5 centimeters round that is as big as a strawberry. Since we found that it has been growing he has to get surgery July 10th. No it is not cancerous as you ask yourself as I did.
The surgery he is getting is a laser ablation of the center of his brain. He will be put to sleep and have a metal rod drilled into his brain that will heat up just the very tip once it is in the right spot. After that the mass will be burned and hopefully he can regain his normal life before the mass. He will be at the Hospital University of Penn Med to get this done.
This is brain surgery and will be a long hard recovery for Josh and I know he will push through. I know he will be out of work for a couple of months or so and just trying to help out the best way I thought I could. I figured I would give this a go for him, He has always been there for our family growing up, and now is taking care of his own family. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
