Hi My name is Brandi. My fiancé Josh has been diagnosed with Renal Cancer two weeks before Christmas, and we have a 13 year old son and a 4 year old daughter…brave faces. We spent the holidays with family as hard as it’s been to keep it private, we know that we can’t do this alone. We found out, that about a year and a half ago, while in the ER for his hernia the doctors had seen a tumor on a cat scan and never told us. Fast forward 18 months later, holiday season of 2022, two weeks before Christmas, Josh was back in the ER for stomach pain. The doctors ordered a scan and this time Josh’s cat scan showed two tumors and we were told for the first time. We were in shock to say the least. Everything is moving pretty fast and there hasn’t been too much time to catch our breath. He is having one of his kidneys removed with in the next two weeks and we know insurance will only pay so much. We are absolutely doing everything we can to get through and over this hurdle. Adding insult to injury, with in days of Josh’s scheduled appointment with the surgeon, his company let him go. Due to the nature of the operation Josh will not be able to seek employment until his recovery. This has added a tremendous amount of stress to an already difficult time. While we are normally a very prideful family with a make it happen mentality, we have now found ourselves in the position of needing help.
Josh is a 44 year old motorcycle guy with a passion for the dawgs and an undying love for his friends and family, I’m sure upon meeting him you too would agree. This is one of the hardest things to go through. We are sending this out into the universe to any and all who have been affected by cancer and more. Thank you for your support in advance. Anything you can do is greatly appreciated, if you are unable to give to our cause, we simply ask to share this. Our prayers and love to you
all.
