This summer has proven to be tumultuous, stressful and anxiety ridden for 22 year old Joshua Upshaw. On July 20th, 2018 a police cruiser crashed into the rear passenger side of his friend's vehicle hitting Joshua. He, was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, in Seattle WA with life threatening injuries. He suffered a ruptured spleen, lacerations, and a shattered hip bone. It's a miracle he's still alive.
Before the accident, Joshua worked a full time job, and enjoyed skateboarding nearly every day. Due to this terrifying accident, he's no longer able to support himself. He suffers from tremendous pain, crippling anxiety, and cannot stand without the help of crutches or a cane.
His medical bills are mounting and he is unable to pay rent. To give you an idea of the amount of stress he and his family are under (if I didn't do that already), his first medical bill was over 100,000 dollars. His parent's are unable to provide the financial support he needs, and he doesn't have any medical insurance.
