Joshua Superhero for a day
Donation protected
My name is Josh and I am 7 years old. I I was born with Cerebal Palsy and this disease has taken away my ability to walk, stand and my speech development. Unfortunately it has affected all 4 of my limbs. If you know me, you can understand what I want but if you don’t know me I have a special board which I can try to communicate with you through.
My mad swimming teacher did a superhero triathlon with her grandchildren in August this year. They are the 3 boys in the picture. She won a big medal and when she came into work she let all the children wear her medal. She told us we could all do this. She dressed up as a superhero and she towed, rode and run her boys around the course.
I really want to be a superhero for a day and take part in this challenge. My teacher will tow me in a dinghy because the open water swim is a bit too far for me. On the day she will do this 3 times. But the bike ride. I really want to do this myself. My dad has found the bike with all special adaptions just for me. I ve never ridden a bike and I was a bit scared, but, I could do it. I couldn’t go far but I did it, on my own, with no help.
I need my bike so I can build up to 3 km by August. If you can fund me I promise I will ride my bike as many times a week as the weather allows me. This will not be hard for me. I loved it! I cried when the man took the bike back to his factory. But he is going to make one for me in blue.
For the run section I can do this in my wheelchair. If you can help me with my bike I am hoping that my legs muscles might improve so that using a frame I might be able to cross the finish line on two feet.
