Joshua Shaw's Recovery

As some of you may know, our son, Joshua Shaw had a brain bleed on Tuesday July 26. He was first taken to UPMC Seneca and then life flighted to UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie where he remains in the intensive care unit as of this writing. While there are definate signs of improvement there is still a very long way to go. The main issue at the moment is his blood pressure which continues to spike when they attempt to remove the IV and put him on oral medication. Other issues are limited movement on the right side of his body, peripheral vision in his right eye, speech, comprehension and a level of frustration that is completely understandable for a 41 year old man.

We and Joshua realize that prayer is what has gotten him this far and will continue to give him the strength to fight on. However, on the practical side, there are many expenses that will need addressed such as the loss of pay checks, gas money for the trips back and forth to Erie on a daily basis, mortgage payments plus others that we are not even aware of at this time.

This is completely out of our comfort zone but the family is going to need help so we are appealing to you, our family and friends and our brothers and sisters in Christ. PLEASE be assured that any money donated will be used in a very careful and responsible way.
