I appreciate you checking out my GoFundMe page and for your interest in supporting me and my work.
For those of you who do not know me, my name is Joshua Roth Bower. I am a senior studying fashion design at Parsons School of Design in New York. I have dreamed of going to this school and studying fashion ever since I was in the second grade.
I am looking forward to graduating from the country's number one fashion design school in the spring. However, before I can kiss this chapter of my life goodbye and wear that flattering gown, I need to complete my senior thesis collection –
Mothers– My Inspiration:
My thesis project aims to explore and address the complexities of motherhood. Stemming from my relationship with my mother. This project intertwines the million spectacular memories with my mother, and that of the billions of selfless mothers who have dedicated their lives to the wellbeing of their children. This collection quite literally weaves those concepts together to create a brand that is molded around this 'over-under' weaving technique but ultimately is utilized and customized by the real woman in my pieces.
Employing extensive personal market research explicitly focused on motherhood fashion, this collection not only intrigues the eye but allows for custom organization specific to the demanding needs of a mother, while also acting as the foundation for further brand development.
My Collection:
My collection is comprised of six full looks, custom bags, and more. To complete this project I will need yards of expensive fabric and other materials, custom knit pieces, and hours of outsourced elements to name a few. This capsule collection will serve as my introduction into the fashion world and will remain in my portfolio for years to come as I start my search for my first 'paid' industry job.

The Cost and Help I Need:
It goes without saying that this will cost a very pretty penny, and no matter how hard I have tried to shine all my pennies, I could use some additional help to realize this collection fully. I have put together a detailed budget of what I will need to spend to complete this project and have estimated the final cost at approximately $10,500 when everything is said and done. This collection aims to give back to my very inspiration and create a brand which caters to the multi-talented, multi-faceted mothers that have raised me throughout my life. Please, if you believe in me, my message, and my work, I hope you will contribute whatever you can to help me create my collection. You will have my everlasting gratitude!
