Tax deductible
Joshua Paul Wyman, a.k.a. Pasha, grew up in a state-run Ukrainian orphanage, anonymous. He said the thing he lacked the most during his ten formative years there was someone to come alongside of him and say, “I’m here if you need me.” Lacking basic life-skills and the love of a family, statistics say most will end up living lives of crime, in prison or committing suicide. Pasha, however, was adopted just before his 17th birthday and given a chance at a whole new life. He overcame many struggles from having grown up in an institution and touched the world with his fearlessness and passion.
House of Compassion was founded for all the ones who aren’t given a second chance at life. Paul believed in the vision of this project more than any of us—to give children the opportunity to grow up in a family-type atmosphere, learn life-skills, and be valued as the people they are. He dreamed of visiting once the war was over and the building was complete to help invest in the children and teach them the art of dirt biking - one of the things he loved the most.
Paul won’t have a chance to visit our project, but as we deeply mourn his passing we are excited to invite his best friends to come in the future and carry on his legacy. We believe that every child should be loved and given the chance to thrive. Help us build the House of Compassion in Paul’s memory to give children like him the opportunity to grow up in a family-style home, because children belong in families.
