Help Jenn be able to care for Josh
Donation protected
****We are slightly changing directions with this Gofundme. Jenn has taken an unpaid leave of absence from her job to be able to care for Josh. Josh's stay at RIO will be extremely short and he will need help fulltime. Josh still has a very long road ahead of him as he adjusts to not having the use of his legs and the medical needs that will go along with that. We would like to keep this Gofundme in place to help cover the costs of rent, food and other bills. Your help and support for both Josh and Jenn has been nothing short of amazing. The families ask that you continue to share this to your social media platforms in hopes that Jenn will be able to remain with Josh and provide the cares that he will need help with. From the bottom of our hearts, we cannot thank you all enough.****

Hi! My name is Lauren and I am Josh's Mom. My daughter, Athena, and I are trying to help raise money for my son, Josh, and his girlfriend, Jennifer.

(Josh and Jennifer)
As many of you know Josh was in a work accident a couple of days ago. When Josh fell he tore his aorta, deflated a lung, collapsed the other lung, has a cranial fracture, broke some ribs as well as his collarbone and shoulder. Josh has had no feeling below the waist since he was brought into the trauma center. He is under going back surgery today for his T11 and T12 vertebrae to alleviate the pressure on his spinal cord. He is being given lots of pain meds to help with his pain. Currently Josh is in ICU and is expected to remain there for the foreseeable future.

The accident happened two hours from Josh and Jenn's home. So to say this will be extremely challenging for them financially will be an understatement. Jenn is staying near Josh as much as she can, but this is not stopping the bills coming in, and needing food on the table for her and the kids. She is traveling back and forth between Portland and Eugene to stay at his side as much as possible.
As his Mom, and living in the midwest, I cannot thank Jenn enough for what she is doing.

(Josh and Lauren, mom)
Thank you all for helping Jenn to be able to focus on Josh and not have to stress out about money to cover bills and food costs. Josh will eventually receive disability but she could really use the help now.
