Last year, Joshua, an inmate at Estelle Unit in Huntsville, Tx had been exposed to another inmate with active TB. Joshua became ill and there were no interventions made to get him early and proper medical treatment. Treatment began several days later after making several calls to the Warden about the condition of Joshua after my sister’s visit with him and after he had collapsed in his cell. Over the next several months Joshua was hospitalized and then released back to his unit. However, Joshua continued to feel sick, helpless and had a sense of doom based on the conversations he had with family.
On June 9, 2024, we are heartbroken to announce the passing of Joshua Rene Losoya, a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. In addition to the emotional toll, we are in need of funds to help with funeral expenses. If you are able to contribute, your generosity would be greatly appreciated and would help ease the burden during this difficult time. If unable to contribute, may you please share so that Joshua’s story can bring awareness to the flaws in our system.
Psalm 34:18
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
