Joshua Lindstrom

Hi, my name is Vanessa and along with me is my brother Bradley that are putting this together. On behalf of our parents Eric and Lydia, our family endured heavy loss and we are asking for your support during this difficult time.

On March 5, 2023, Sunday morning, our beloved Joshua unexpectedly passed away in his sleep at home. He had been feeling sick for a few weeks and so it’s unclear what illness his body was fighting during this time.

My family feels so much emptiness and pain right now. We are completely devastated. We want to give Joshua the beautiful memorial he deserves, surrounded by family and friends. With your help, all donations will go directly toward funeral expenses.

Joshua was a son, brother and uncle that was loved so very much! For those who didn’t know his story, he was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma Cancer at the age of 3. He was one of the lucky ones! We beat it, he beat cancer! He became our story of hope, strength and survival for our family and so many others. Unfortunately, over the years as Joshua got older, his immunity was compromised by all the chemotherapy, radiation and medication his body had taken on at a young age. We knew it would be a matter of time in his adult years that it would affect his health and it did. His body begin to shut down slowly and he was in constant pain. This pain hindered his daily life activities and it took so much energy out of him. At times, he could barely walk and would go days without eating. Sometimes even walking out of his room would be difficult. He was hurting for so long and we knew it. But Joshua never let others see that side of him. He always did his best to show up. He had dreams, desires, and aspirations and he wanted to accomplish so much, but his body didn’t allow him to.

We have to remember the joy and laughter he brought to everyone. He loved so big and the tender touch and warmth of his smile could brighten your day. He always put other's needs before his own and cared so deeply about his friends and family. We need to hold onto the moments and memories we had with him and celebrate him because that’s what he would have wanted. He was our brave warrior and now he’s set free in the arms of the Lord.

We appreciate all your immense love, prayers and support during this difficult time as we try to navigate a new way of life.

On behalf of my family and I we want to say thank you…
