Joshua Ibbotson Double Leg Break & Ankle Dislocation
Donation protected
On Sunday 1st September 2024 Josh was playing his first game of veterans football when he suffered a double leg break and dislocation of his ankle after a high impact tackle from an opposition player.
An ambulance was immediately called due to the severity of the injury but the triage paramedic advised an ambulance could be a matter of hours, Josh was then stretched into the back of an estate car (Thanks Dave Cronin!) and driven to Warwick Hospital to speed up Josh's access to treatment and pain relief.
It was soon confirmed that Josh had suffered a double leg break of both the Fibula & Tibia of his left leg and dislocated his ankle all from the contact of the tackle and is now in a half leg cast awaiting imminent surgery to repair his leg and ankle.
Josh is a hard working self employed carpenter, so the loss of earnings during his recovery will be significant.
We are hoping that we can support Josh & his Family during this difficult time by providing some financial support so Josh can fully focus on the long road to full recovery.
If you can spare a few quid in doing so it would be much appreciated
