A lot of people ask, "What can we do for you?" after a death in the family. Right now the family is need of help financially to help with the cremation cost and financial support during this tough time. With Josh being on disability and his wife Shelly being a full time care taker for her husband, funds are limited. Anything helps. Thank you.
I asked Shelly, Josh's wife of 20 years to say a few words.
Joshua was a fun loving and beautiful human being and as my husband I could not be prouder of his fight within him to live.
Together we went through so much.
He had so many surgeries and heath complications I can't count, but he always defeated them all.
He was the top of the kidney/pancreas transplant list and made it to the hospital in Seattle. He got a 75% match, perfect candidate. Then within 20 minutes the phone call from his doctor saying he had a slight fever and they would have to give it to the back-up candidate. We were devastated.
Josh didn't give up, we both charged forward towards attempt #2. He overcame dialysis complications, diabetes complications, gangrene and circulatory complications. He was was ready to go on the transplant list again. It's hard to believe that after all that, he lost his battle because of an infection.
We would have been married 20 years this July. I will miss my best friend and husband. Hr was truly loved by so many.
Now I have to pick up the pieces the best way I can.
We were not rich in money, but we always had each other and love.
