Joshua and Stephanie's fire relief fund

On October 6th, a devastating fire took everything from us. My partner Stephanie and I had lived there for 8 years, yet in only minutes, everything was lost. A lifetime of possessions, all our belongings, and our beloved cat Delilah were all taken in moments. The flames quickly spread throughout the entire building and ultimately took the life of our friend and neighbor John Stoneking. The life we had, the home we had made, was all gone in an instant.

While we have been trying our best to rebuild in these past 2 months, it continues to be a difficult journey. The process of inventorying every material possession for insurance has been an arduous, ongoing task. The combination of missing a month of work each, coupled with having to upfront the costs of replacing necessities, has brought a decent amount of financial anxiety.

We have found a new apartment and are both back to work, so we are doing our best to keep our heads above water and move forward. Many of our friends and family have expressed the desire to help and while we were initially stubborn and hesitant to accept, we wanted to give people the chance to help directly.
