My name is Lizzet Alcala and I am seeking support from the community as I plan the services to lay my son’s father to rest.
On 4.16.25, Joshua was called to his eternal home after a tragic motorcycle accident. There are no words to describe the pain and suffering the boys are going through. He is survived by these 4 boys ranging from the oldest, 18, to the youngest who turned 7 just weeks ago. Joshua was not only a loving father, he was a son, brother, uncle, and friend to so many. He was involved with various community groups both professionally and socially.
With his most recent work, he became a beacon of hope for troubled youth in the community. His life experience and ability to overcome struggles gave him the zeal to break barriers and help pave the way for second chances and new beginnings for these “youngsters.” He was able to get through and connect to them in a very unique way. I truly believe his experience and career with CalFire was the beginning of this journey. It sparked in him a passion to show others that there is a better future outside of the streets. He had many friends in many different parts of the community. He loved working on cars, loved taking long drives, and was always organizing some sort of car meet or bike night. He spent many years both with and behind the scenes of Autofest. With this venue, he was able to bring together his favorite pastimes. His passion for cars, graffiti, motorcycles, and music had finally come together in one place.
Now I am asking for the community he devoted so much of his life to, to come together for his children so we can celebrate his life and lay him to rest.
