Josh's Recovery
Donation protected
This go fund me page has been set up to collect donations for Joshua Modise Gavin.
Joshua suffers from mental illness. He was born in South Africa and was adopted into a white family.
After immigrating to the USA at the age of 9, Josh seemed to adjust very well. He grew up to be just like any normal teenager, playing varsity football and graduating high school.
Three years ago, Josh's world was turned upside down when he started to show signs of mental health illness.
Due to his illness he found himself living on the streets for a year and a half.
After endless efforts and court hearings, Josh was finally court ordered into a temporary facility.
He recently admitted himself into a mental health facility and wants to get help and get well. This requires moving into a supervised halfway house that will help Josh.
I am a single mom and I am solely responsible for Josh.
Josh has no family that can help him financially. I have done everything that I could to get him to this position.
That is why he needs help with funding .
There are no residential facilities that are non profit state funded in this country. It is very sad that there is no financial assistance for the mentally ill.
The funds are needed as soon as possible to prevent Josh from going back on the streets.
The reason this means so much to me is because Josh is my son. No 26 year old should have to go through what he has been through. It has broken my heart. Please find it in yours to help Josh.
