Hello! My name is Joshi and I'm making this fundraiser to help myself and my partner Rin pay some unexpected emergency costs.

I don't even know where to begin here. There are two things.

The first thing: Rin's car was stolen off the street by our house, and they desperately need help. We searched for days around the neighborhood, called every tow place in the city, tried the impound lot, and no one has it or has any recollection of towing it. We filed a police report, but obviously, the cops are not confident they'll find it. After reporting the theft to their insurance company, they were told they'll need to pay a $1000 deductible in order for the company to pay anything out, which neither of us have. They are starting a new job soon too, which they will need a vehicle for in order to visit clients in their homes as a registered behavioral therapist, which makes the timing of this that much more terrible.

The second thing: After moving out of their last apartment, their roommate refused to pay any of the rent (part of a pattern of financial abuse), which until then this roommate had been covering most of it because they made considerably more money. We ended up having to put the entire $2500 rent payment onto a credit card to avoid it destroying Rin's credit. We have tried to start the process of taking this person to small claims court to recover the money from them, but in order to serve them, we need their new address, which we can't find. No one we have asked that is close to them will aid us, and I'm not able to find it online anywhere. This debt is going to be very difficult for us to pay off without help.
